What’s this bullshit? It makes Katsuki sick, feeling Deku’s pity and fuckin’ patronizing behavior. He hates how Deku makes him feel, and his stomach turns over. And even if Deku is telling the truth - Katsuki doesn’t want him to care! Katsuki needs to be strong, especially after his failure. And he doesn’t need Deku’s being nice.
The…Deku’s use of still hits different, though. Still care about him? When had Deku ever cared about Katsuki? He’d always followed Katsuki around like a kitten, but that had been stupid hero worship, not…not genuine…
”I’ll fucking kill you,” he says, but there isn’t any heat to it. “Tomorrow.“
